The Internet Village Vocational Education Technology (TIVVET) is The Gambia's largest independent network connecting local students, social entrepreneurs, and changemakers. It offers innovative FinTech education and training through internet technology solutions, empowering women, youth, children, and communities with practical skills. These include community internet development, renewable energy studies, digital financial literacy, life skills, and sustainable solutions.

Since 2010, TIVVET has provided free, high-quality education to underserved communities by leveraging IoT technology. The program integrates hands-on learning and online resources to bridge the skills gap, improve employability, and enhance local internet access and infrastructure.

VACATIONAL EDUCATION SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE

This stage is carried out at upper nursery level and post-tertiary level before learners begin working life.

This takes place either in a school-based environment mainly in the classroom or in a work-based setting, or training centres

Starlink wiXad Software Technologies is the development lab of The Internet Village Limited Gambia. It is responsible for designing, building, &  implementing the digital policy priorities of the Internet Village. Moreover, Starlink enhances its added
value through carrying out assignments for other other entities (e.g. sponsored projects)

In doing so, Internet Village aims at promoting sustainable local-international development

Fandema Women SKill Development Hub

As the world is facing huge challenges in realising the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, Starlink wants to contribute with its experience and expertise in five specific domains, one of them being Climate Promise, Climate Change Advocacy Projects, Internet Education, and the Environment preservation.

Starlink has 18 years of experience integrating environmental education and solutions into its actions and ten years of experience providing The Fix Solutions to deal with the effects of climate change, community Internet, skills development, and financial literacy.
Starlink has defined areas of intervention under the global challenge Climate Change and the Environment :

Resilient local city like Tujereng Internet Village and territories; Sustainable talents, food and water management; Forests and nature areas for animals and human heritage; Green energy;, Blue Economy and Sustainable food systems.

The Internet Village Limited

The Internet Village Limited
Internet Village is an innovation hub. Between 2010 and 2024, in its first phase, the Internet Village Limited has identified
Digital Social Innovations (DSIs) and supported their scaling through many dedicated Proposals in diverse action oriented sectors. It has, in total, supported over 500 partner projects implemented by over 50 partner organisations in The Gambia and countries in Africa and the Middle East, USA, backed with European Methods of Development.


Based on the achievement and relevance of the first, a second programme was established for 2024-2030, to continue identifying and supporting the scaling of social innovations, digital and physical, in the profit, nonprofit, civil, students, and, public sector, NGOs and Governent organizations worldwide aligned with Climate and UNSDGs.

Doing Good Ambassadors

2015 - 2030

The TIV digital programmes, administered by Movement of Digital Entrepreneurs, and Doing Good Ambassadors continue to boost (digital) social community based innovation as a vehicle for accelerating inclusive and sustainable developments, reducing inequalities, poverty and empowering people in The Gambia, Senegal, Nigeria and partner countries and beyond.

It does so by providing both financial support in the form of grants as well as topics specific capacity building supporting all Internet Society and Doing Good Projects for the benefit and advancement of Mankind.
